North Dakota – A 21-year-old man was killed in a semi-truck rollover crash in Mountrail County, according to the North Dakota Highway Patrol.
The crash occurred when a 2019 Volvo semi hauling a tanker trailer was traveling southbound on 73rd Avenue NW, north of Palermo.
Authorities said the driver failed to negotiate a curve near 66th Street NW, causing the semi to leave the roadway and roll into the ditch.
The driver, a Kenmare, North Dakota resident, was pronounced dead at the scene. Officials confirmed he was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.
The incident remains under investigation by the North Dakota Highway Patrol.
Agencies assisting at the scene included the Mountrail County Sheriff’s Office, Stanley Fire Department, and Stanley Ambulance.
