North Dakota – A 60-year-old man was arrested following a collision that seriously injured an 84-year-old pedestrian in the parking lot of 4 Bears Casino and Lodge on Saturday night.

The incident occurred around 10:50 PM on June 28, 2025, when a 2006 Ford Five Hundred SEL was backing away from the casino building and struck the pedestrian with its rear bumper, knocking her to the ground.

Emergency responders transported the woman to Trinity Hospital in Minot for treatment of serious injuries. The driver, a New Town resident, was unharmed but faces charges of Criminal Vehicular Injury, a Class C felony.

A passenger in the vehicle, a 62-year-old woman, was not injured. The investigation is ongoing, including review of restraint use.

Several agencies, including the North Dakota Highway Patrol, McKenzie County Sheriff’s Office, Three Affiliated Tribes Police, casino security, and New Town Ambulance, are involved in the case. Authorities urge drivers to be cautious in parking areas to help prevent similar accidents.
