Bismarck, N.D. -The Bismarck Police Department, in partnership with Bismarck-Burleigh Public Health, is hosting a Drug Takeback Event this morning at the Burleigh County Senior Center, located at 315 N. 20th St. The event runs until 11:30 a.m. and provides residents with an opportunity to safely dispose of unused or expired medications.
In addition to accepting medications for secure disposal, authorities are distributing Deterra Drug Deactivation Bags, a convenient option for those who wish to dispose of pharmaceuticals at home.
Organizers emphasized the event’s role in promoting public safety and environmental health, helping reduce the risk of prescription drug misuse and contamination of local water supplies.
Residents are encouraged to participate before the event concludes at 11:30 a.m. today.
