North Dakota – A fatal motorcycle crash occurred on August 9, 2025, at approximately 1:55 p.m. at the intersection of 29th Avenue North and Broadway, according to the North Dakota Highway Patrol.

A 31-year-old male motorcycle rider on a 2022 Yamaha sport bike was traveling southbound on Broadway at a high rate of speed and failed to stop at a red light.

He collided with a 2005 Toyota Corolla that was westbound on 29th Avenue North and entering the intersection on a green light. The crash was a T-bone collision involving the front passenger side of the Toyota.

The motorcyclist, who was not wearing a helmet, was ejected from the bike and transported to Sanford Hospital, where he later died from his injuries. The 59-year-old female driver of the Toyota was wearing a seatbelt and was not injured in the crash.

The incident remains under investigation by the North Dakota Highway Patrol, with charges yet to be determined.
