Alabama – An Alabama schooIteacher has been arrested and charged with second-degree r-pe and second-degree s-domy following allegations of a se-ual relationship with a student that began when the child was just twelve years old.

The 47-year-old defendant, later identified as JiII, was taken into custody last week after an investigation by the Alabama authorities. The inquiry was initiated last month, following a report from a parent who alleged that the 47-year-old woman had engaged in an lnappropriate relationship with their child during his seventh and eighth-grade years, approximately eight years ago.

According to Alabama authorities, the alleged abuse began in 2015 and continued for approximately two years. Investigators uncovered evidence corroborating the victim’s claims, including text messages in which the defendant allegedly confirmed the abuse occurred while the student was enrolled at the middle school.

The 47-year-old woman, who has been a teacher at the school since 2003, was placed on administrative leave following her arrest. OCity Schools has stated that it is fully cooperating with law enforcement authorities during the ongoing investigation.

After her arrest, the woman was released on a $35,000 bond. She is scheduled to appear in court on May 7, 2025.

Police Chief HeaIey emphasized the department’s commitment to student safety, stating, “Protecting our students is a priority and responsibility we all share. If you have any information about this case or any other crime, we urge you to come forward.”
